Six Keys Per Keychain

The RV dealership gave us two sets of keys for "The New 2009 Trailer of My Dreams." (I promise, I'll stop using that name soon but it's still not quite dead yet.) Once we got home tonight (and I promise, a long post about today will be coming shortly,) DaddyDoc went to an Unnamed General Store that is open very late at night to purchase locks for the hitch and the large storage compartment.

Now each of the two keychains has six keys. My HOUSE does not have six keys.

One key unlocks the door. Naturally.

There are four storage compartments with doors. Originally there were two keys for these four doors but today one of the doors would not open. Before we left the dealership, the technician replaced the lock on that door. Now we have three keys for the toilet holding tank door, the outside shower door and the two doors to the large storage compartment.

And lastly, of course, are the padlocks for the hitch and the latches for the exterior storage compartment*.

Six keys.

* The exterior storage actually has four doors. One inside the trailer, two side doors on either side of the trailer, and one large "cover" with two latches that is only accessible when the trailer is collapsed. Once the trailer expands, the larger of the two end bunks covers the door to this storage area making it only accessible through the three doors. It's so complicated but very handy.
